Studies show that the key is to keep moving while you work. Take a walk to water cooler, speak to an associate as opposed to emailing. I use an adjustable height desk that is portable and sits on my existing desk and allows me to be in constant motion if I choose to do so. Sit or stand and still keep on working. Ergo Desktop Kangaroo Pro is the modle I have.

My gout is better now, havent had an attack in months. My theory is that you need to stay active ie. WALK A LOT!!! And drink lots of water with lemon juice in it!!!! Vinager and baking soda didnt work... Avoid lots of oils... Dont eat things that require cooking in oil... Keep your feet elevated as much as possible!!! Eat as much alkaline foods as possible... Ripe banannas, raw spinish in your salads or sandwiches, watermelon is the best... Basically walk as much as you can, get the blood flowing in your feet and drink lots of water with lemon juice and cherry juice concentrate if you can afford it... Exercize, primaily walking for the blood flow but all other exercizes including lifting weights, steam room, whirlpool, anything that induces you to drink more water...

I knew of a friend who had very bad gout and he started to fast every other day (Intermittent fasting) and within a short period of time (I think it was a week) his gout had totally disappeared!!!

After which he decided to change his diet/lifestyle!

I actually had another gout attack just today and its the first one since i've been keeping my feet elevated. Probably because i didnt have my feet elevated and and ate tons of salty popcorn and other salty foods yesterday. So, I guess I do have gout but i'm still pretty convinced that elevating my feet has a lot to do with keeping the attacks away.

I just turned 38. I got a job about 9 months ago that requires me to sit most of the time. When I get home I typically will sit at my computer for the remainder of the nite. What has happened is my feet have started to swell and hurt. I used to be very active and my diet is excellent. I recently thought that I had gout but now im beginning to think that im fine, i just need to be more active. I will let you know how it goes, thanks.
